Nalanda College of Engineering (NCE), Chandi is one of the best new government engineering college under administrative control of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of Bihar, India and it has been established in 2008 with the contribution of M/S Nalanda Infrastructure Ltd. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified and NBME approved institute which is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna.
Nalanda College of Engineering (NCE), Chandi, Nalanda came into existence in 2008 under administrative control of Department of Science and Technology and wholly funded by Government of Bihar. Established with a motive to give quality technical knowledge to all and sundry, the college started its journey to success through hardwork and perseverance.

The College was established in 2008 affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna with an initial intake of 60 students. It has now been upgraded to the status of degree college.
The college strives for excellence in education, training and research at par with international standards with a high sense of discipline, social relevance and concern for environment.
The institute has three hostels – two for boys and one for girls – for accommodating 400 students in total on its campus. Both boys' hostel have been constructed with an objective to provide a homely atmosphere along with comfortable living conditions to all its residents within campus itself.

Nalanda College of Engineering (NCE), Chandi is located in the picturesque W.B.Hills in the Eastern part of India having splendid sceneries, surrounded by greenery and bulwarked by ancient temples overlooking a crystal clear lake.The campus is located at Chandi on Patna-Gaya Muzzaffarpur Road , four Kms farfar from National Highway 30, pilgrimage centre of Santiniketan, 20 Kms fom Golghar, 2 Kms from Chandi Police Station and six Kms farfar from Nalanda district headquater.It is about 60 kms from Patna Railway Station and about 120 km from New Delhi by Air. The nearest airport is Patna Airport approximately 25 kms from the institute .The college is situated on the Chandi-Nalanda-Biharsharif Highway and is approximately 5 kilometers from Chandi Railway Station. The nearest airport is at Patna which is 95 kilometers away. About 70% of the students live on campus and the rest come from nearby areas like Ladma, Rampur, Silao, Chausa and Biharsharif.
HISTORY OF NCE
It is situated on the holy land where Lord Buddha experienced enlightenment and Lord Vardhaman Mahavir embraced Nirvana. It belongs to the land of historical Nalanda University wherein college students the world over could look at Buddhism. The College has 4 branches– laptop technology engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical & electronics engineering. Each department includes 60 college students and the overall quantity of college students is round 1008.
