INTRODCTION OF Motihari College of Engineering (MCE), Motihari
Motihari College of Engineering (MCE) is a Government Engineering college in Bihar, India. It was established in 1986 to provide an efficient system of technical education in Bihar.Motihari College of Engineering (MCE), Motihari was the dream child - and brainchild of Bihar government's Department of Science and Technology, in 1986. The institute was established to promote education in the state.
The institute is executed and run by Department of Science and Technology, Government of Bihar. Recently, the institute has been rechristened as Motihari College of Engineering (MCE)-Bihar.
This article elaborates on the various technical and non-technical facilities offered by Motihari College of Engineering (MCE). Our founding fathers were inspired by the vision to impart quality technical education and research at such a low cost that any economically backward class can avail it easily.

Motihari College of Engineering was established in the year 2008. It is approved by AICTE & affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna. The college is a Government engineering college located in the heart of Motihari, East Champaran district, Bihar.
Motihari College of Engineering, Motihari is situated in Bihar. It was established in 1998 but was closed down due to poor infrastructure and quality of teaching. Later in November 2008, the Government reopen the institute & the name was changed from Indian College of Engineering to Motihari College of Engineering. 2018 is the glorious year in the history of college, MCE got 22 faculty members from MHRD-NPIU under TEQIP-III program, and 26 faculties from Bihar Public Service commission in all the departments.
Recently Motihari College of Engineering signed Twinning Agreement with JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad at MHRD New Delhi. The agreement was signed to improve quality of teaching-learning at Motihari college of Engineering. The intake of college have increased to 60 in each branch.
HISTORY OF COLLEGE MCE
Initially, the college was known as Indian College of Engineering which was established in 1980 but later, it was taken over by the government of Bihar. After that, it was renamed as Motihari College of Engineering.
The college has an intake capacity of 360 students every year in various BTech programs and 60 seats every year in MTech programs.
Motihari College of Engineering offers undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs at UG & PG level in different specializations along with Ph.D. program in various disciplines.
Apart from academics, the college has a well-established training & placement cell which helps students to place them into various reputed companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc after their successful completion of the course.
LOCATION OF MCE
The institute is located in the city of Motihari, which is the headquarters of East Champaran district in Bihar. The city is named after Motilal Nehru, who was born in this district. The college has been named after him as well. The institute is located 1 km from the old bus station and about 2 km from the railway station. The nearest airport is Patna Airport, located 130 km away from the college.
