Gaya College of Engineering (Gaya CE) located in the city of Gaya, is an engineering college run by Ram Manohar Lohia National Yuva Sangathan Society. This society is run and managed by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. It was established in 2008 under affiliation to Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Technical University (KSDTU), Darbhanga and approved by AICTE, New Delhi which comes under the administrative control of O.N.V.M Society, New Delhi.

Gaya College of Engineering has its wonderful past. It turned into mounted withinside the yr 1981 beneathneath Chairmanship of Late Sri Ramashray pd singh, Minister, Government of Bihar, Dr Jagdish Sharma, previously MP, overdue Sri Jai Kumar Palit, MLA, Late Capt Shah Jahanh, MLA, Sri Gopal Prasad Singh, previously District Board chairman, Gaya, Late Dr Shakeel Ahmad previously principal, Mirza Galib College, Gaya & Vice Chancellor BRBU University, Muzaffarpur,and Late Prof RD Singh.

The college was initially affiliated to Bihar University (now BR Ambedkar Bihar University) in Muzaffarpur for undergraduate programs in Civil Engineering (1980-82), Mechanical Engineering (1981-86), Electrical Engineering (1982-86), Computer Science and Engineering (1986). Later it was affiliated to Magadh University in Bodhgaya for the UG programs in Electronics and Communication Engineering (1990), Information Technology (2002), Food Processing Technology (2006). Now it is affiliated to Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Patna.
